Fame Agenda & Leonard St

Agenda hosted a fabulous collection launch Friday evening with fashion forward label Leonard St. Just doors down from their Level 2, bustling Melbourne Central store, a walkway transformed into a runway with stage and a talented acapella guitarist keeping us entertained as we took our seats.

Kicking of the launch was Leonard St with its bright floral print cocktail dress. With playful colours of orange, blue and green, the dress communicated a bold summer ahead. Delightful and feminine with frilling details over capped sleeves, the fabric also transformed into a blouse tucked into casual denim shorts. Basic LBD’s were infused with hi-shine and metallic fabrics with embellished and gathered sleeves. A lovely red sweetheart strapless dress featured an external zip from neckline to hem as well as a classic cut ¾ cocktail dress in vivid green. Kaftan style pieces also featured in colorful designs on a black or white palette, the perfect shift mini dress or for the beach hammock.

Leonard St proved their diversity of style through the unusually sought materials in many of their pieces. An understated long sleeve shift dress was stand out due to the striking zig zag patterned fabric in symmetrical horizontal lines of white, blue, green and orange. Also featured as a cardigan and not to mention a back cut-out giving the dress a sexy appeal. Unique fabrics were also evident in a retro styled high necked mini dress and its longer counterpart featured in a luxury satin like material with a mixture of bright hues, subtle pockets and waistline detailing.

Safari is very popular this season yet Leonard St again added their ingredient of uniqueness with a stylish full length and long sleeve jumpsuit in khaki green. Very Amazon Jungle tour guide but somehow extremely feminine with its fold over v-neck cut, waist belt and this seasons voluminous pants. A gorgeous khaki green pencil skirt teamed with a structured cream shirt also made a great team.

Fame Agenda, a stockist of all things beautiful and supporting local and international designers also launched their own Spring and Summer collection. A flirty and feminine collection commenced with a red satin cocktail dress with rah-rah skirt and voluminous frill detailing. A stunning long sleeve black lace dress with nude colour underlay oozed edgy elegance fitted at the top and falling into a gathered voluminous bottom. Bold colours, interesting fabric detailing and hems to skirts rose to build the volume. Fame Agenda have a fun Spring/Summer season on their hands.

Fame Agenda and Leonard Street hosted an excellent launch with an array of clothing all distinctive from fabric to embellishment to cuts. An impressive runway left me in my seat circling my choices in the look book from my divine goody bag before heading to their boutique to stock up on what will be a fabulous fashion season!
