Landell Designs second pop-up shoot, ‘Explore the Fashion Artery’ at the Cathedral Arcade, was a sight of delight for fashion fans seeking the perfect addition to their upcoming spring wardrobe. Part of her signature label with a strong, identifiable look, designer Lisa Defazio has created a collection oozing with femininity, chicness, elegance and quality.

The featured designs effortlessly take the wearer from day to night in glamorous fashion. The showcased looks are vintage inspired – “I look back before I look forward,” says the designer, drawing on classic influences from the past. Styles for the season include the classic black pant with a silver silk singlet, the tulip skirt – a high-waisted, boned skirt, teamed with either the silk tie-front shirt, or vintage lace top with fringe trimming and a silk cardigan. ‘Tis the season of the shortened hemline!

While all designs are beautifully crafted in construction and wear-ability, my favourite design was the gorgeous gold party dress, inspired by the shapes of the 70s, with a pocket stitch detail and roman plait, which accentuates the waist. This dress is ever so suited to match your nice bronzed summer glow that is hopefully just around the corner!

Created with “The Melbourne Woman” in mind, Landell Designs creates flattering and versatile pieces. The designs can be dressed up or down and can either be worn as a full outfit or broken down to tie in with your existing wardrobe. With colours of silver and gold, Landell Designs would take the top spots in any medal contest.
