Fashion+Aid Press Club Launch

George

Calombaris and his Press Club hosted the Fashion+Aid launch this week – a toast to the supporters of the event – the brainchild of Emma Rombotis.

Now in its sophomore year, the event raises funds for the Make a Wish Foundation. Katherine Heigl dopelganger, the gorgeous Camilla ‘Milly’ Jackson of title sponsor i-Select and ” puffin’ muffins” fame kicked off the formal proceedings. Meanwhile the glitterati including Kasia Z and partner, a camera-shy Lance “Buddy” Franklin, Jason Coleman, Blair McDonough and the fashion contingent from Fashion TV, designers Jason Grech, Harry Georgiou and StyleHunter editor Amanda, reps from the Travisty team and Bardot enjoyed the night’s hospitality.

Fresh takes on Ouzo-marinated salmon and greek salad went down a treat while the sweet cinnamon-spiced chicken Bastilla was pronounced “perfection”. A couple of groups even moved upstairs after the party to prolong the festivities with a few bottles of Moscato and rosemary and lemon scented olives. It was my first visit to the Press Club upstairs and I have to report the service was a balance of warmth, attentiveness and professionalism.

Fashion+Aid is coming up very fast. A spectacular of fashion, music, dancing, perfomance, food and celebrity – it is becoming like a cross between the glamour of an Australian Oscars and the fun of the MTV Music Awards. Get your tickets for the Saturday September 12th event now or book a whole table.
