Kit Willow has outdone herself yet again in producing one of her most feminine and inspired collections to date. ‘Creature’ encompasses an effortless, elegant range of pieces for women of all shapes, sizes and ages, comprising eye catching details and an unusual yet totally spot on colour palette.
In stark contrast to her previous collection, ‘Sacred Trace’ which channeled a middle eastern, cool and casual vibe, ‘Creature’ brings elegant tailoring, delicate details and amazing cuts to life in a very grown up, yet girly manner. Primarily black, shape is key, with voluminous skirts, scalloped hems, ruffles, and plenty of 90′s power dressing style structure. Splashes of moss green, salmon pink and rich blues and purples add emphasis to the feminine theme that runs throughout the line.
Embellishment does not go astray either, with Kit utilising heavy beading and sequin detail on several pieces, highlights being an amazing black blouson top covered in brass detailing, along with dresses covered in so many silver sparkles a magpie would be blinded. Perfect for a cocktail party, Kit’s bling adorned pieces are lust have items this season.
The majority of the collection is versatile enough to be worn in a corporate environment, and then dressed up for evening. Each piece has a classic feel to it, ensuring that in these not so pleasant economic times, you can rest assured that you’re making a wise, long term purchase. Despite this, each garment has a funky, modern feel, so the wearer can feel on trend and fabulous.
