Seeking something quirky, funky, cool and fun to add a splash of kitsch to your wardrobe? Well, look no further – after attending Dana Lenko’s launch party for her second store opening on Flinders Lane – I think I have found something interesting and inspiring to shake up my fashion world! With dazzling animal prints and fantasy-like art splashed over the walls – this laid back, hip, full of one-off pieces store is one not to be missed!
My favourite key pieces: Harlequin Silk Top in Red – this sexy red number is embedded with frills around the chest that gives that real flawless look but without an over-glamorising effect.
The second piece was the leider shorts in a floral design – inspired from the streets of Germany; these cute pair of shorts scream out fun, fun, fun! Totally Lenko!
Dana’s Inspiration: Her dreams and especially her friends! She also adds in beer – just take a look at her website and you’ll notice the model holding a bottle of beer – nice one Dana!
Wow factor? The eccentric vibe that you get walking into the Lenko store is all you need for a little inspiration! The visual merchandising is cleverly done and those animal-prints are so cute, yet quite bizarre. But I think it is because of this I was so drawn to the designs and the store. Lenko has really got the talent to go a long way – with a true understanding of the art of fashion.
