Kids Under Cover is celebrating their 20th year of helping children and young people at risk with scholarships, a home to live in and homelessness prevention. Some high-profile Australians have created one-off masks in aid of the cause to be auctioned off over coming weeks.
The auction went live only today and masks are available here right now until Tuesday 30th June. Bid for creations by VJ Fuzzy, fashion designer Lisa Barron, the cast of the Footy Show, Catriona Rowntree, Shelley Craft, Jenny Kee and the Today Show’s Steve Jacobs. Our pick is the mask by Rosemary Masic of label Nevenka, inspired by her latest collection; featuring purple, leather, ribbon, rhinestones and a peacock feather – it’s simply fabulous!
You may then wear your mask to the Umbrella Ball held Saturday evening on 25th July at the Palladium Room. It is masquerade themed and there will be a three course dinner, more celebrity masks up for auction and entertainment at the event hosted by Grant Hackett and Elise Mooney. Proceeds from both the auctions and the ball go to Kids Under Cover.
