So all you print fanatics and home design mavens out there probably know who Florence Broadhurst was. For the unenlightened she is best known as the queen of Australian handprinted wallpapers and her designs are still sought after and held in high regard today. She was also a talented artist and comedienne, ran her own trucking business and campaigned for equal rights (among other things like extensive world travel if you were not already wondering how she found the time). Basically she sounds like a pretty cool lady all round.
For just four days only, from Thursday 18th June to Sunday 21st of June (10am til 6pm), a pop-up store featuring her signature luxurious prints will open at shop 11, 71 Merchant Street, Victoria Harbour in the Docklands. Discounted ranges of wallpaper, fabric, homewares, bags, art and luggage will be available to own. This is the first time ever in Melbourne that such a store will be open so drop in first (and early!)
