Alexi has been a long time favourite local designer here at Style Melbourne.  His eclectic style and ultra glamourous collections keep us in suspense every time a new season rolls around.  This winter, Alexi has yet again raised the stakes and has left me wondering…what will have me swooning next season?

Hailing from nearby Tasmania, Alexi has truly transformed artistic prints into slinky jersey dresses and basic bodysuits.  He can make a corporate suit sexy and has a real knack for making evening attire truly unforgettable. Alexi’s collections continue to grow with each season, however he truly has cemented his own recognisable look, no mean feat for any designer in this truly cutthroat industry.

Criss Cross has an Avant Garde feel with a pinch of punk thrown in for good measure, all in all making for a wearable line that is just that little bit different and guaranteed to earn your compliments.  Criss Cross mixes both casual, work and formal attire, with the collections namesake ‘criss cross’ graphic featured (however subtle) throughout each piece.

Standout pieces this season you ask?  I instantly fell in love with the impeccably tailored Criss Cross suit, featuring a unique ‘scratched’ pattern.  This fabric is also used in a magnificent slinky evening gown with subtle train, and a wonderful wardrobe staple, Alexi’s belted trench.  If you are looking for an investment piece this season, contact Alexi and get yourself one of these coats, the style is truly timeless and it is a chic update on the classic black trench.

Keep a look out for Alexi’s winter range in selected boutiques this season, or if you have a specific enquiry, please contact Alexi via email:  alexi@alexifreeman.com
